Configure Facets

Configure Facets

Information valid from AMI version 8.0 Service Pack 4

Summary

A facet is a dynamic filter that is only shown if applies to at least one result. You can select the values for these filters from a list of values that the results actually have.

Configure Facets lets you set which facets are potentially shown.

You can customise the facets to display into these groups:

  • Show Default Facets—display the facets defined on the Default tab. Only Administrator users may change this list.

Facets for Object Type and structure point (Browse) will always be included in the Default Facets group, but will not be listed on this tab as they cannot be removed from the group.

  • Show Suggested Attributes Facetdisplay the attribute definitions marked as Auto Suggest that appear on any of the results.
  • Show Object Type Facets—display the facets defined on the Object Type tab when results are filtered by object type. Only Administrator users may change this list.
  • Show Saved Search Facets—display the facets the facets defined on the Saved Search tab when that saved search is active. These facets are specific to the currently active saved search, not saved searches in general. Only the owner of a specific Saved Search may change this list.
  • Show User Defined Facets—display the facets defined on the User Defined tab for all results. This list is specific to you: other users will have their own list of facets.
