Summary
From AMI 8.0, Choice Lists can be found in the new 'Configuration Options' of AMI, which is designed to show gadgets with an administrative function. The Admin Browser gadget is deprecated from Agility 7.2.
Choice lists are a convenient way to store frequently used content for use in attributes. They let users quickly insert text into an attribute, speeding up the editing process and improving the consistency of text values.
Choice lists can have different values for different language versions. A choice list is linked to an attribute, which is then linked to an object. Users select choice list values when populating the attribute instance.
The list of Choice Lists potentially could be very long, and so a filter text box is provided. You can enter a value to filter the list. Like similar filters in AMI, it is case-insensitive and accepts the wildcard characters ? (match any one character) and * (match any number of characters).
Select a Choice List to edit it.

Create Choice List...
Opens an editor to let you define a new item.
Type
Select the type of choice list you require:
- Alpha-Numeric - The choices available in this list will comprise of text and numeric values (including Glossary Terms).
- Asset - Each choice in this list will be an actual Agility Asset object such as brand logos, recycled icons, frequently used images, etc.
Choice List Values
For Asset types of choice list, select the icon to select the asset objects to add as choices. You can select multiple assets at a time, which will each be added as a separate choice.
For alpha numeric choice lists, select the icon to enter a value for the choice list in a text box. Select the glossary terms icon to insert a glossary term into the choice list value. Note that once a glossary term is entered, the term value itself can not be edited.
Amending Choice List Values
Drag and drop items in the list to re-order them.
Select the 
icon to edit a choice list value.
Select the 
icon to delete it.
Note that you are not able to edit choice list values for Asset types of choice list, only add, re-order or remove them.
Language Selection
The Language drop down loads the independent choice list values for the selected language. Editing, deleting or sorting a choice list value will only affect the selected language.
Edit Choice List...
An alternative to clicking on an item's name to open its editor. Here you can rename the choice list, as well as add, edit and remove choice list values. You can change its Type if the Choice List does not have Choice List Values, otherwise Type will be disabled.
Delete Choice List
The selected items will be deleted. You cannot delete a Choice List if it is used by any attribute definition.
Access Rights...
Administrator users can set the access rights to Choice Lists for User Groups or individual Users. These access rights apply to Choice Lists in general, not to specific Choice Lists.
- Add—create new definitions
- Edit—change existing definitions
- Remove—remove existing definitions
- Inherit—use the access rights from the parent group
Refresh
Clears the Filter field.
