Improved user experience and a new integration with Longview 

CXO Software Version 21.2 provides enhancements to help users better understand their data, provide easier ways to find conversations, and offer a better experience when navigating between CXO and other web (reporting) solutions. Also included is the ability to integrate with Longview, insightsoftware’s tax, transfer pricing, consolidation, and plan suite. 

Highlights of this release include:

• Usability improvements to aid understanding of data in charts and tables  
• Ability to integrate with Longview Tax, Longview Transfer Pricing, Longview Close, and Longview Plan solutions 
• New options to search for conversations 
• Better experience when navigating between CXO and other web (reporting) solutions 

Chart Data Labels

To enhance chart readability when multiple data labels are close to each other, CXO can now automatically position data labels in a way that they do not overlap each other. 

Conditional Formatting

To draw users’ attention to the most important data in a report, you can now apply conditional formatting to CXO tables without having to use a formula. Working in a similar way to Excel, you can color code data based on their value (e.g., positive, negative, or within a threshold).

Integration with Longview

With Version 21.2, CXO introduces the ability to integrate with insightsoftware’s Longview tax, transfer pricing, consolidation, and plan suite. 

Using CXO with Longview Tax, Longview Transfer Pricing, and Longview Close, and Longview Plan will enable you to bring the power of CXO’s rich reporting against important financial data.

• Longview Tax automates tax data collection and processing, freeing up time to refocus efforts on more proactive and strategic initiatives. 
• Longview Transfer Pricing connects enterprise strategy and tax policy with transfer pricing execution to modernize your tax function, mitigate risk, and deliver new ways to improve tax function effectiveness. 
• Longview Close automates consolidation and data validation processes to accelerate the close cycle.  
• Longview Plan Integrates planning and consolidation data in one platform to accelerate planning cycles and improve the quality of budgets and forecasts.

Pass Point of View (POV) Context Into a Report URL

To enable a better user experience when users need to navigate between CXO and - other web (reporting) solutions, it is now possible to pass an initial POV context, such as Year, Period, Entity, Account, etc., in the CXO report URL by adding query string parameters to the end of the URL. This allows you to navigate from another reporting solution to a specific CXO report that opens with the corresponding POV. The ability to navigate from CXO to another reporting solution while passing the POV already existed, so now bi-directional navigation between CXO and another reporting solution with transactional detail, for example, is now possible. 

Conversations Search

New search and filter options make it quick and easy to find and review your previous conversations. You can search using text and also filter the current report and POV to find the conversation you are looking for.
