Commentary

Enhance your generated report by adding comments using the Comments feature. This feature uses the Microsoft Editor and is available for Regular Users. There are five types of comments:

Roles and Permissions

A user can be given access to read, edit, lock, and unlock comments by the admin. Refer User Permissions for more details.

Narrative Key

The Narrative Key defines the dimension(s) used to store the POV comments and is set in the Settings Panel. Usually, the Narrative Key value is set to Yes for every dimension included in the POV. If the Entity, Period and Year dimensions are set to Yes, then the comments can be saved for all combinations of these dimensions.  An exception could be the Currency/Value dimension which can be part of the POV but does not require specific comments for different currency. Additionally, for dimensions such as Entity, you can select whether the dimension should have a Subsidiary Comments Rollup to the Parent by selecting the RollUp option.
