You can also choose to delete a particulate failed workflow item from the list. In this case, only the selected failed workflow instance gets deleted. The workflow will be available and shown for the next occurring instance.

The following options are available to be applied to all its corresponding sub-workflows under the failed workflow:

  • Edit
    Opens edit workflow screen where the step owner can be reassigned/added/deleted. The user can then retry attempting the step again which will appear under the user’s My task .

  • Retry all
    Click to trigger retry action for all the sub-workflows.

  • Delete all
    Click to trigger delete action for all the sub-workflow.

Workflows Failed

When a workflow fails to be triggered or created, it shows under the Failed tab. This tab is accessible for user with edit workflows permissions. These failed workflows are shown by the period of their occurrences, that is Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly and One-off.

User can click on the name of the workflow to display its sub-workflows. There can be two main reasons a workflow might fail to get triggered or created:

  1. Technical Issues:

    • Service issues/Technical issues

  2. Functional Issues

    • Approval Member is no longer available

    • Metadata Member no longer exists in the system

    • Step owner is not in CXO anymore

Retry

The user has an option to retry a failed workflow. Especially in a case where the workflow fails due to temporary technical issues, it is always advisable to retry triggering the workflow by clicking the Retry button.
If the retry action doesn't work, the user is prompted with an error message to contact CXO support.

Delete
