After the creation of the workflow, the progress and status of the steps can be tracked from the dashboard, hence giving the end user the status of the workflow from its dashboard. The status icon is shown to the right of the POV in a report, and is shown for all reports where there is at least one applicable workflow for the POV combination with the approval dimension member defined in that workflow.
These icons are visible to all users irrespective of their right access to the workflow.
When you click on the name of the workflow, you see the list of workflows which have these reports in them.
To view status of the workflow with a different approval member, the status icons will automatically update to reflect the status with respect to the changed dimension. In case the switched dimension does not have any workflow associated with it, status icons will not be displayed.
Click on the workflow name and the summary of the steps of the workflow along with the information on the due dates for the individual steps appear as a tool tip.
Color Indicators
At the start of the workflow all icons appear orange in color indicating that the action is pending with the user.
When the steps for data collection and review are completed (Step 1 and Step 2), a check mark is displayed under this icon against the workflow name. When the first two steps for all the sub workflows are completed, the icon turns green.
When the steps for adding and reviewing comments are completed (Step 3 and Step 4), a check mark is displayed under this icon against the workflow name. When Step 3 and Step 4 for all the sub workflows are completed, the icon turns green.
Finally, when the Step 5 for final review is completed, a check mark is displayed under this icon against the workflow name. When the last and final step for all the sub workflows are completed, the icon turns green.
