Introduction

Menu groups and menu items determine navigation structure for the application. A menu group may contain child menu groups and menu items. Navigation structure is same for all users but each user can see only items allowed by security rules.

Menu Group

Menu group is a container which can contain menu items (links to reports) as well as child menu groups.

When Manage Manu Items is opened, the user can see the list of all Menu Groups. The user can expand the Groups and see all child menu groups as well as the reports in each of the groups. The Nmae of the Group as well as the option to delete one is avaliable on the right side on the screen in the Menu Group Details section when a Menu Group is selected.

By clicking on the + New Manu Group, the user opens new window for creating the new manu group where the Nmae is mandatory field. After provideing the Name, the Save button will be enabled. After saving the New Group will be positioned as last one in the list. The user can move it using Drag and Drop.

 

Menu Item

Menu item is the CXO Report which is located in Group. When an Item is selected, on the right side under the Position Detail tab, the user can see the Position Details and the Users ang Groups for which this Item is visible in this position.

From here the user can remove the Item from the current position. Additionally, the user can Set Security Usrers and Groups - choose which Users and Groups will be able to see the report in this position by clicking on the Edit button on the upper right corner.

 

 

In All Positions tab, the user can see all positions and Security Users and Groups.

To add the report on another position, the user should click on the Add to other position button. A square will be placed above the menu groups so that user can place the report in the desiered position using Drag and Drop.
