A Template is a pre-defined layout with fixed objects such as Main Table, Trend Chart, Variance Chart, Breakdown Table, etc. They offer functionalities such as drilldrill-down, expanding hierarchies, etc. All Templates have a Menu-bar and a Point of View selector bar. This makes it very easy to quickly create Using templates eases the quick creation of a wide variety of Reports. It is possible to create a Report from a Template and inherit all default settings. It is also possible to deviate from the Template defaults by selecting different dimensions, different lists, different parameters etc.

The Settings Panel define the look & feel and behavior of the reports. Use the template Report Dimensions template Settings Panel to define the following:
- The way the report queries the data from the Source System Source Systems
- The way the Point of View bar is configured
- The way the Point of View Comments are stored
