Summary

The Lightbox gadget is meant a complement to complement the Asset gadget.As well as letting you see : in addition to showing the assets that are linked from to the current object, you can also see the assets for the current object's parent, ancestors, children, descendants, or siblings. In addition, the Lightbox gadget can show the assets in Asset Choice Lists.

In general the Lightbox gadget looks and behaves very similarly to the Asset gadget. The one major difference is that the Lightbox gadget is read-only: it is purely a selection mechanismway to select assets and relations.

Just like the Asset gadget, the Lightbox gadget has both Thumbnail and List views.

Thumbnail

For each asset we show the following informationyou can see:

  • The Asset Relation name at the top (except for choice lists)
  • A thumbnail of the asset
  • A selection checkbox
  • The name of the asset at the bottom right

In Thumbnail view the assets are always sorted by asset name.

The relation name indicates which the relation used to link the asset is linked to by.

List

For each asset we show the following informationyou can see:

  • A selection checkbox
  • A thumbnail of the asset
  • Zero or more of the asset's attributes (see , chosen via the Select Details menu item)

In List view the user you can click on any column's heading to sort by that column's values

Assets

 Assets to Display

The first dropdown menu on the gadget's toolbar lets the user select which collection of assets to display. There are three groups of collections:

  • Previews

 Asset Filters

The second dropdown contains an entry for each Agility asset filter, sorted alphabetically. When an asset filter is selected, only assets matching that filter will be displayed.

You can resize the asset previews.

The maximum and minimum magnifications are set up defined in the workspace editorgadget's configuration.

This menu item is only enabled if one or more assets are selected.

Checked Selected assets will be placed onto the AMI clipboard. If they have relation information, then that is also copied to the clipboard. If no relation information is available (i.e. for choice list assets) then simple asset information is copied to the clipboard.

Select

This menu item is only enabled when the Lightbox gadget is in List view. It brings up opens a dialog that lets to select the user choose attributes to display as columns in the List view. The choice of attributes is restricted to You can only select attributes that belong to an attribute set that is associated with an Asset object type, or attributes that exist on at least one of the assets in the list.

Notes

The Lightbox gadget assumes that every asset object has an instance in the Asset structure. Assets for which this is not true will not be shown.
