Introduction
A reference pick list is a list building block that can be used to select reference categories. Reference categories are used for variance analysis with the main category of a report. Most reports have a reference pick list. Most reference pick lists contain dimensions like:
- Year
- Period
- Category
And contain values like
- Budget
- Previous month
- Previous year
etc.
List Attributes
Basic Attributes
List Attribute | Default | Description |
---|---|---|
Empty | No | Empty lines will not be visible, if you set this attribute to yes. |
Custom Description | Empty | The custom description overrides the default generated name. You can use either a fixed text or a Dynamic Label Expression |
Order | Max + 1 | Use the order attribute to reorder the members in the picklist. |
Advanced Attributes
List Attribute | Default | Description |
---|---|---|
Reverse Valuation | No | When this attribute is set to yes, the Valuation will be reversed. This means negative becomes positive and the other way around. Changing the valuation will influence the variance coloring. |
Reverse Sign | No | When this attribute is set to yes, all the reference data will be sign flipped. |
