From AMI 7.2, Search Servers can be found in the new 'Configuration Options' of AMI, which is designed to show gadgets with an administrative function. The Admin Browser Gadget gadget is being deprecated from Agility 7.2.

A filter text box is provided in which users can type a value, and the list will filter out all items whose names do not match the filter. Like similar filters in AMI, it is case-insensitive and accepts the wildcard characters ? (match any one character) and * (match any number of characters).

Each item in the list can be clicked on to open an appropriate editorSearch Servers are the definitions required for Agility to use third party search engines and their indexes. Once these have been defined, they can be used in the AMI Quick Search gadget.

Select a Search Server to edit it.

Search Server definitions

  • Host Name—the name or IP address of your search server
  • Host Port—the port used by your search server
  • Custom Properties—any customer properties that are required by your search server
    An example of custom properties for an Elastic Search server is:
      elasticsearch.server.clusterName=elasticsearchagility
      elasticsearch.init.resultSize=4
      elasticsearch.init.timeout=500

Opens an editor to let you define a new itemSearch Server.

Edit <item>

Image Added Edit Search Server...

An alternative to clicking on an itema Search Server's name to open its editor.

Delete <item>s

The selected items will be deleted.

Refresh

Image Added Delete Search Server...

Deletes the selected Search Servers.

Image Added Refresh

Clears the Filter field.
