This option shows details of the current object. If the current object is an Asset, its preview image will be displayed.

Linked Assets

This option shows all of the assets that are currently linked related to the current object.

All Relations

This option shows all of the assets that are linked to the current object, plus an empty placeholder thumbnail/row for any other assets relations not currently populated for the object.

These empty placeholders are drawn with a dashed outline.

This option lists all the asset relations associated with the object's default design.

It includes details of those that are populated, and empty placeholders for those that are not.

If the object does not have a default design then no assets are displayed.

Gadget Action Menu Items

Copy

This menu item is only enabled if one or more assets are selected. This will place the asset relation(s) onto the clipboard.

Paste

This menu item is only enabled if the current clipboard page contains either an asset or asset relation.

Preserve last link to assets

Performing a paste can cause an existing asset to be unlinked from the object, whether this is from a single or multi instance asset relation. If this is the last link between the object and the asset then this may be undesirable.

An administrator may set up an existing multi instance 'bucket' relation to auto link such assets to when they are automatically unlinked this way.

Insert From Choice List

Allows the user to populate a slot (either one that already populated or an empty one) with an asset stored in an asset choice list. This menu item is only enabled if one or more slots are selected.

Swap Assets

This menu item is only enabled if exactly two existing populated asset slots are selected.

Selecting this menu item will swap the two selected assets over, so the asset in slot A is now placed in slot B, and vice versa.

The user can explicitly unlink any currently linked assets.

Preserve last link to assets

An administrator may set up an existing multi instance 'bucket' relation to auto link assets to when they are the last remaining link between the object and the asset.

Re-order

This menu item is only enabled if a single multi-instance relation has been selected. It brings up a dialog listing the relations, allowing the user to change their order.

Select Details

This menu item is only enabled when the asset gadget is in List view. It brings up a dialog that lets the user choose attributes to display as columns in the List view. The choice of attributes is restricted to attributes that belong to an attribute set that is associated with an Asset object type, or attributes that exist on at least one of the assets in the list.
