To create a new report, the admin should click on the New Report Button next to the CXO Cockpit Logo which will bring up the Create New Report Window. Here, the Name, the Source System and Type of the Report are mandatory (marked with red) must be filled in before you can click on the OK button and create the report.

There are two types of reports that can be created: Using an existing Template or a Free Format Report. The existing templates have a predefined layout with predefined controls. Free Format Report on the other hand, is a new report with an empty layout in which the admin can add controls by choice.

Use an existing Template

If admin chooses to create a Report using a existing Template, by clicking on select the list of all present templates will be opened. Admin should choose one and click on OK after the Name and Source System are filled in too. After that, the required parameters (Report Contents) must be filled in.

 

Free Format Reports

To create a Free Format Report, choose the second option and follow the instructions about the Free Format Report. Below is the overview of the steps for creating a Free Format Report.

  • Select option “Create New Free Format Report” and click ‘OK’
  • In the Edit Layout Panel, which will open automatically, set the report contents
  • After saving the Layout, the admin needs to configure the settings for each control in the report, through the Settings Panel. Only when this is done the report preview will appear.
