Summary

The Workflow Definitions screen allows you to create, edit and delete the workflows defined in your system.

You can also create, edit and delete the Workflow States in a Workflow, using the panel on the right. You can drag and drop Workflow States to change their order within a Workflow, but a State cannot be reordered into a different Workflow Group: you'd have to edit the State and change its Group there.

Once you've created a Workflow Definition you can assign it to Object Types or Attribute Definitions on the appropriate Configuration Option screen.

You can enter a Filter value to filter by the workspaces' names. Like similar filters in AMI, it is case-insensitive and accepts the wildcard characters ? (match any one character) and * (match any number of characters).

Gadget Action Menu Items

Create...

Add a new workflow definition.

Edit...

Change the name and basic aspects of the selected workflow.

Delete Workflow...

Deletes the selected workflow(s).

You cannot delete workflows that are in use by any object or attribute definitions.

Workflow Group

Add, edit or delete Workflow Groups.

Access Rights...

Administrator users can set the access rights to Workflow definitions for User Groups or individual Users. These access rights apply to workflow definitions in general, not to specific workflows.

Add—create new definitions
Edit—change existing definitions
Remove—remove existing Workflow definitions
Inherit—use the access rights from the parent group

Refresh

Clears the Filter field.
