Summary

The Structure Type screen allows you to set the Directory Context Access Rights (DCARs) for Structure Types.

You can Filter the list of structure types. Enter a value to filter the list. Like similar filters in AMI, it is case-insensitive and accepts the wildcard characters ? (match any one character) and * (match any number of characters).

Select a structure type to edit its access rights.

Gadget Action Menu Items

 Create Structure Type...

Inactive: you cannot create new types of structure.

 Edit Object Type...

An alternative way to open the access rights dialog for the selected structure type.

 Delete Object Type...

Inactive: you cannot delete structure types.

 Access Rights...

Administrator users can set the access rights to Structure Types for User Groups or individual Users. These access rights apply to Structure Types in general, not to specific Structures.

  • View—see structures of this type and instances of any objects within them.
For example, if a user can view "SKU" objects but not "Events" structures then they will only be able to view instances of SKU objects that are not in an Event.
  • Add—create structures of this type
  • Edit—configure the Structure Options for structures of this type:
  • Remove—remove structures of this type
Because structures cannot be placed into their own bin, unlinking a structure will permanently delete it.
  • Inherit—use the access rights from the parent group
