Introduction
Formulas can be used to calculate list values. All input values for the formula must come from the same list. If the value that you want to calculate needs to be part of many lists or the calculations are multi dimensional you can consider to use Calculated Members instead.
Create a Formula
There are two places where you can create a Formula. When you create a List Item you can click or in the List itself, you can click to open the Formula Editor.
You can choose several types of Formulas:
Type | Description | Formula | Option |
---|---|---|---|
SUM | Sum | (Parameter+Parameter+Parameter+etc.) | |
SUMR | Sum Range | (Parameter:Parameter) | |
AVG | Average | (Parameter.Parameter.Parameter. etc.) | |
AVGR | Average Range | (Parameter:Parameter) | |
VAR | Variance | (Parameter-Parameter) | Absolute / Relative |
RAT | Ratio | (Parameter/Parameter) | Absolute / Percentage |
MULT | Multiplier | (Parameter*Multiplier) |
Please note that the range formula's (SUMR and AVGR) only work on values within the range that are visible.
