Parameters
The Report Parameters define the look & feel and behavior of a report. On the screenshot below you can see the Parameter numbers. These numbers refer to the Parameters as displayed in the Basic and Advanced Parameters tablestable. Next to Basic and Advanced these Parameters there are also /wiki/spaces/CXO/pages/2806776440
Parameters

1. Rows | This list defines the rows of the report and influences most of the look and feel of the report. All list formatting options are supported. | Yes |
| 2. Reference Categories | A list of items that will be used as Reference Categories in the report. Each item can be a combination of members from the dimensions associated with the list (usually Category, Year and/or Period. Formulas are not allowed. | Yes |
| 3. Default Selected Item | Indicates the /wiki/spaces/CXO/pages/2806776443 from the List that will be selected / highlighted upon opening of the report. If none is selected, the last row will be highlighted. | No |
| 4. Label Base Category | Dynamic Label that can combine the description of dimension-members and free text. The member-description can be obtained by putting the 3-character dimension abbreviation between square brackets (e.g., [CAT] for the Category dimension). Note: When using free text, don't use the "[" or "]" characters as these are reserved for Dynamic Label Expressions. | Yes |
| 5. Show Periodic/YTD columns | If Yes is selected, both Periodic and YTD columns will be displayed (as shown above). If No is selected, columns will be displayed for only the View Member included in Report Dimensions (see below). | Yes |

| 7. Replace Blanks By | Enter a character or string that you want to see instead of missing values. | No |
| 8. Palette | Color Palette allows you to customize colors displayed in a report. | Yes |
| 9. Use Inline Drill | Provides an option to apply inline drill for Rows List members. | Yes |
| 10. Show Variance as Better/Worse | Better/Worse variance representation can be used to display positive variance with positive sign and negative variance with minus sign. | Yes |
| 11. Default Selected Variance | Enter Variance % if you want to open a report with a variance percentage column. Enter Variance if you want absolute variance as a default view. | Yes |
| 12. Variance Percentage Precision | Defines the number of decimals used for presenting the Variance Percentage values. | Yes |
| 13. Base / Direct | Select Base if you want to see the base-members (or leaf-members) under a certain parent-node (parent Entity, Product group, etc.). Choose Direct if you want to see the direct descendants (1st generation child-members). | Yes |
| 14. Default Breakdown Dimension | The Breakdown dimension which will be displayed. | Yes |
| 15. Variance Threshold | Threshold value for the Variance (e.g., Actual vs. Budget). If the Variance is less than the 1st threshold value, then Red (indicating an unfavorable variance) is used. If the Variance is greater than the 2nd threshold value, then Green (favorable variance) is used. And if Variance is between the 2 threshold values, Orange (neutral variance) is used. Use, for example, -200;300 for absolute thresholds or -10%;20% for relative thresholds. | Yes |
| 16. Scale | This defines the scaling used in the report. Options are: Unchanged (no scaling), Thousands, Millions, Billions, Percentage. The last option multiplies the amount by 100 to show for example an amount of 0.75 from the source as '75%' in the CXO-Cockpit. The scale setting is the default for all data in the report, but can be overruled by a specific (non-default) scaling in the Member List. | Yes |
| 17. Precision | This defines the number of decimals used for presenting the number. Options are 0-12. Similar to the Scale setting, the Precision setting is the default for all data in the report, but can be overruled by a specific (not -1) precision in the Member list. | Yes |
| 18. Frequency | This defines the frequency of the report. Options are M (Monthly), Q (Quarterly) , Y (Yearly) or Any (user select). The frequency setting also impacts the options in the Point of View: Upon selecting M, the user can only select the Months. If you select Q, the user can only select Quarters. Selecting Any (user select) will allow the user to select either a Month, Quarter or Year from the Point Of View as required. | Yes |
| 19. Breakdown Sorting | Allows the control and sort sequence of variances of the Breakdown Elements in a report (e.g., Child-Entities, Products in a certain Product Group). Select the appropriate option from the predefined list. | Yes |
| 20. Left Footer Text | Enter a text that will appear in the lower left part of the report. This is dynamic label where you can use dimension values like [VAL] or one or more of the listed static indicators. | No |
| 21. Reference Category Position | Select the Position of the Reference Category (e.g. "Forecast"). Left or Right of the Base Category (e.g. "Actual"). | Yes |
Show Periodic/YTD columns
By default the Home Page shows with two blocks of data for Periodic and YTD. By setting the 'Show Periodic/YTD columns' parameter to No, the Home Page will look like this:
