Parameters
The report parameters Report Parameters define the look & feel and behaviour behavior of a report. On the screenshot below you can see the parameters numbers. These numbers refer to the parameters as displayed in the Basic Parameters and Advanced Parameters table. Next to Basic and Advanced Parameters there are also /wiki/spaces/CXO/pages/2806776440
Basic Parameters
Parameter | Description | Mandatory |
---|---|---|
1. Top | This list defines the main selectable iems for top main panel in the report. The items contained in the list must be analyzable by the dimension specified in the Breakdown By parameter. | Yes |
2. Bottom | This list defines the main selectable items for bottom main panel in the report. The items contained in the list must be analysable by the dimension specified in the Breakdown By parameter. | Yes |
3. Reference Categories | A list of items that will be used as Reference Categories in the report. Each item can be a combination of members from the dimensions associated with the list (usually Category, Year and/or Period. Formulas are not allowed. | Yes |
Advanced Parameters
Parameter | Description | Mandatory |
---|---|---|
4. Default Selected Item Top | The default item from the list that will be displayed in the top main panel. It will be an item contained in the list defined in parameter 1. Top | Yes |
5. Side Trend Top | List of items that determines the X-axis of the trend in the side-controls in the top right side panel (usually associated with the Year and the Period dimension). | No |
6. Default Selected Item Bottom | The default item from the list that will be displayed in the bottom main panel. It will be an item contained in the list defined in parameter 3. Bottom | Yes |
7. Side Trend Bottom | List of items that determines the X-axis of the trend in the side-controls in the bottom right side panel (usually associated with the Year and the Period dimension). | Yes |
8. Label Base Category | Dynamic Label that can combine the description of dimension-members and free text. The member-description can be obtained by putting the 3-character dimension abbreviation between square brackets (e.g., [CAT] for the Category dimension). Note: When using free text, don't use the "[" or "]" characters as these are reserved for Dynamic Label Expressions. | Yes |
9. Breakdown By | With this parameter you can select the dimension for which you want to see the descendants at the right-side or bottom of the report. In case of the Waterfall-chart it determines the nature of the movements or variance components. In case of the Ranking template it shows the ranking dimension. | Yes |
10. Default Ranked By | Specifies the ranking criterion. You can enter 'Variance', 'Variance %', 'Actual' (or any other Category specified in the Dimension Settings) or 'Budget' (or any other reference category specified for parameter 'ReferenceCategory'. | No |
11. Base / Direct | Select Base if you want to see the base-members (or leaf-members) under a certain parent-node (parent Entity, Product group, etc.). Choose Direct if you want to see the direct descendants (1st generation child-members). | Yes |
12. Reverse Sign | In some underlying systems, costs are input as a negative income. By default, a graph would also show negative values, which makes the graphs less intuitive. The CXO-Cockpit therefore allows for reversing the sign for the purpose of showing such costs as positive values. The financial intelligence (evaluation of green/red) remains intact. | Yes |
13. Variance Percentage Precision | Defines the number of decimals used for presenting the Variance Percentage values. | Yes |
14. Maximum Ranking Count | Set the maximum number of items that will be shown in the ranking list ie to show the top or bottom 9 members set the parameter at 9. | Yes |
15. Initial Ranking Count | Set the number of items that will be shown in the ranking list ie to show the top or bottom 4 members set the parameter at 4. | Yes |
16. Variance Threshold | Set the number of items that will be shown in the ranking list ie to show the top or bottom 4 members set the parameter at 4. | Yes |
