The Report Creator role can be powerful for functional users that want to create new reports. Reports can be built using any delivered CXO template, or by creating a Free Format Report. The user can create their own custom objects (linked objects), including lists and formats which can only be referenced in the report that they are creating. Additionally Additionally, any shared objects that are created in CXO, can also be leveraged and used by the Report Creator.
Please refer to the Linked Objects Concept.
Once a report is created, an Administrator will have to assign the report into a menu, and assign security access on the report as required.
