Basic Options

Filter by Object Type

Filter your list to process only objects of a specific object type. If your List of Objects includes an ID or name of an object which is not of the specified type then that object will be ignored.

List Elements as

Specify whether your list contains Object IDs or Object Names.

If you use Object Names then your default language version will be used to match objects.

Delimiter

Specify which character or characters separate the elements in your list.

Select the Use whitespace characters as delimiter checkbox to treat any tabs or newlines (but not spaces) in the list as delimiter characters. This allows you to copy and paste cell values from third-party applications such as spreadsheets.

List of Objects

Enter your list of object IDs or object names here.

Apply Selected Results To List

The Working List Gadget allows you to manipulate lists in a few different ways. In this section of the interface you can specify what AMI should do with the objects you have entered.

Apply to list

Either select an existing object in the List structure or select New... add a new object in the List structure and link your objects to that.

Top Level List / Apply To sublist

If the gadget is configured to use sublists, there will be two drop-downs available.

The Top Level list will allow users to choose one of the top level children of the gadget's list. Changing the Top Level List will populate the sublist selector with the 'Top Level lists' children. The gadget will then manipulate the children of the selected sublist.

Copy Descendants?

If selected, descendants of the objects are also added to the target list.

Show results

Choose when to see a summary of what happens when you select Apply.

  • Only when there are errors
  • Never

Select list after applying changes?

If selected, the list will become the current context when the operation completes.

Add / Remove / Replace / Intersect

Select the action to perform on your selected list:

  • Add—Link your objects as children to the selected list object.
  • Remove—Unlink your objects from the children of the selected list object, if they're linked there.
  • Replace—Unlink all of the current children of the selected list object, and link the objects in your list.
  • Intersect—Any children of the selected list object which are also present in your list of IDs or names will remain linked, but all other children will be unlinked.
